Export Import Management Solution from Ndiema Infotech covers functionality related to capturing and incorporating incentives granted by the Government of Kenya for import/ export orders. At the time of import, duty is calculated automatically based on the duty rates specified in the Import Duty Group linked with the imported item.
The system also automatically calculates export incentives as per the Advance License, Duty Free Replenishment Certificate (DFRC), Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB), Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) and Duty Drawback schemes. The two primary Foreign Trade Policy schemes that have been considered are the Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) and the Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS). MEIS benefit is also available for goods exported through courier or foreign post offices using e-Commerce channels.

Advance License
- EPCG is issued for import of Capital Goods/ spare parts at predefined basic custom duty rate
- For import orders, if there is an advance license number defined, then the duties specified as exempted in the Import Duty setup, are nullified up to the CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) value of imports allowed in the license
Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) Scheme
- EPCG is issued for import of Capital Goods/ spare parts at predefined basic custom duty rate
- User can capture details of EPCG license like EPCG No., issue date, and CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) value of imports
- Export obligation percentages for blocks of years are captured and all exports are tracked
- In the Import Duties setup, the user can define item wise EPCG import duty percentages
Duty Free Replenishment Certificate (DFRC)
- All Imports/ Exports against the DFRC are captured and displayed in the DFRC card
- DFRC is freely transferable
- Facility to Sell/ Buy a DFRC
- At the time of import, duties specified in the DFRC are exempted


Duty Entitlement Pass Book (DEPB) Scheme
- DEPB allows users to take credit of exports as per specified rates for each item
- DEPB rates are specified in the setup for each item
- DEPB credit will be on DEPB rate as per government stipulations
- Facility to Sell/ Buy DEPB as it is freely transferable
- DEPB credit available can be used to pay for import duties
Duty Drawback
- Definition of Exporter’s bank account for each shipment port
- Duty drawback amount is directly transferred to the bank account at the port of shipment
